What is Micropigmentation?
Skin Micropigmentation, also known as cosmetic tattooing, semi permanent makeup, or permanent makeup, is becoming more and more popular as our lives get busier and more hectic. This type of permanent makeup is popular in Auckland and other cosmopolitan cities due to our hectic lifestyles – not only can it help enhance your natural features, it can also save you time and money in the long run.
It is a process whereby minute particles of natural colour pigments (iron oxide) are implanted into the dermal layers of the skin. At Pure Skin Clinic in Auckland, cosmetic tattoos are achieved by using a special state of the art digital device or hand tool which uses a single-use, disposable needle cartridge or blade. This procedure helps to enhance the colour and shape of eyebrows and eyeliner. Each area requires 2 sessions of micropigmentation 4-6 weeks apart.
If you think an eyebrow tattoo sounds daunting or painful, rest assured, most clients describe it as a scratch, some don’t feel it at all! And because the treatment lasts anywhere from 6months to 2 years (depending on aftercare, skin type, sun exposure etc), you will always be able to keep up with the latest trends in brow and lip design.
